Options

Plastic injection process is the most economical way to produce plastic component with complicated design. The product can be applied in all sizes and usages with precise dimension, low shrinkage, high impact strength, high flexibility and yield strength.

The basic injection molding cycle is adding thermoplastic pellet into heated barrel, forcing the liquid plastic into mold cavity for forming and cooling, and ejecting the part out of the cavity. The mold will close before injection to remain in-mold pressure and open after the cooling process for part releasing.

Joesmen is specialized in producing complex and precise injection parts. Choosing injection mold requires careful decision from raw material to internal structure design and full assembly check, as well as the perfect cooperation between the tooling design and frontline coefficient control. Since the production is highly automation, the process is repeated, fast and fully control. Manual work can be reduced to minimum, so does the error. The color and texture choices will be done inside the mold, so the finish part doesn’t need much more decoration or polishing.

Joesmen also provides double injection parts to meet the client’s needs. It has 2 injection gates with different colors or raw materials. Take plastic keycap as instance, the graphic durability will last for good as it’s injected. Another benefit to choose double injection is it can match with chrome plating process. With ABS keycap and clear PC graphic area, the metal finish would only stay on ABS and the graphic will leave as transparent for backlight purpose.

Overmolding or insert molding injects thermoplastic into the mold to wrap around the existing or pre-molded items. It’s the way to produce one finished part with multiple processes. As the different materials are combined inside the mold, the heat would provide excellent adhesion and the assembly time can be saved.

Overmolding is a great way to create “soft-touch” grip or handle by different durometer combination. Another common usage is to place metal piece into the mold before injection, and the melted plastic will mold around the insert component.

IMD (In-Mold-Decoration) creates all dimensions and printing choices by thermoforming and injection molding. By thermoforming PC foil on a plastic injection part, the printing will be protected and thus extremely high abrasion and chemical resistance can be achieved.
